The Curiosity Cure

One of the best articles I've read in EL magazine ["Approaching Observations as a Curious Colleague" by Sean Conner and Jennifer Froehle].
Patrick Tiernan (@PatrickTiernan)

What's Good for Students …

Great summary of the research on the kinds of feedback that improve teaching. ["What Teachers Really Want When It Comes to Feedback" by Thomas R. Guskey and Laura L. Link.] If we want healthy, meaningful cultures of feedback for students, why wouldn't we commit to the same for educators?
Eric Hudson (@ejhudson)

An Engaging Article

This is great. ["Why Do Students Disengage?" column by Douglas Fisher and Nancy Frey.] There are so many reasons why it may be hard for students to focus and give their all into what they are learning. Teachers should always be aware of every reason and should know how to go about helping the student.
Grace Martini (@teachergracem)

When Feedback

Great article! ["Creating a Culture of Feedback".] Dr. Sanée Bell reminds us that as instructional leaders one of the most important jobs is to serve as a coach. The three ingredients for feedback mentioned are a launch point for any instructional leader who is trying to fine-tune their coaching craft.
Marcos Lopez (@MarcosL59082962)

Better Rubrics, Anyone?

Another great article from this issue! ["How to Provide Better Feedback Through Rubrics" by Jay McTighe and Tony Frontier.] Meta-explanations of feedback through quality rubrics. Great seeing the work of the great Grant Wiggins thread through this issue.
Patrick Tiernan (@PatrickTiernan)

A Reliable Coaching Method

[The coaching method described in "Better Methods for Video-Based Instructional Coaching" by Abby Reisman and coauthors, online exclusive] is so authentic and the most reliable method through which educators can easily get a deep analysis of coaching conversations and efficiency.
